What Angels Want: How to Prepare for a Successful Angel Investment Round
May 11, 2016 @ 4:00 pm - 5:30 pm
We believe that the well prepared entrepreneur has much better odds of raising investment funding. At this workshop you’ll learn from the experience OTBC staff has had in raising funding for our own companies, and in helping dozens of other startups raise investment funding for their startups.
Is your startup Angel-ready? In other words, have you and your team done the work that’s required to convince angel investors that your startup is a strong investment?
It’s not always obvious to first-time entrepreneurs just what kind of preparation is required to successfully raise investment funding. The challenge is made worse by the fact that different angels have different priorities. They may prefer certain industries or social causes. And the chemistry an angel has with a startup team is always an important factor.
In this workshop we’ll focus on the work it takes to address the return and risk issues that are the core concerns for most angels. We start with the usual advice (‘reduce team, finance, market and technology risk’) and get down to specifics and details regarding what most angels consider when making an investment. By the end of the workshop, attendees will have a practical checklist they can use to self-assess what additional work they need to do to be prepared to raise investment capital.
Join us on May 11 to raise your odds for successful fundraising.
